ΤDue to the high mobility of Nitrate salts, in lightweight soil they are drifted away by soil water to the deeper layers, while in heavy saturated soil they form volatile compounds, thereby increasing the losses. Because of these transformations, during the fertilization of cultures with traditional fertilizers, a part of the fertilizer is lost and rendered non utilizable by the plants.

NutrActive magni-bor is a new generation fertilizer which has resulted from many years of research and experimentation in the field of crop nutrition. During its production process, the active agent 1-cyano-guanidine (DCD), which slows down the nitrification process and extends the supply of nitrogen to the crop, is integrated in each granule.

The presence of the nitrification inhibitor regulates the supply of Nitrogen based on the requirements of the crop, ensures the balanced nutrition of the plants, both with Ammoniacal (NH4), and Nitric (NO3) Nitrogen, and reduces the losses that are due to leaching and vaporization.

Robust culture growth and high productivity requires regular supply of plants with both Nitrogen forms.

Upon fertilization with traditional fertilizers, the total of added Nitrogen is transformed to Nitrite and subsequently Nitrate salts very fast. Due to this transformation, the roots of the cultures that are fertilized with traditional fertilizers can only access Nitrogen in the form of Nitrate in the soil.

The plants are forced to unilateral Nitrate nutrition, they are deprived from the metabolically essential Ammoniacal Nitrogen and undermine the quantity and the quality of products produced.

The NutrActive® fertilizers, via the nitrification inhibitor DCD, stabilize Ammoniacal Nitrogen, they protect it from microbial oxidation, and extend its presence in the soil for 8 to 12 weeks.

By slowing down the transformation rate of Ammoniacal Nitrogen to Nitric, NutrActive® fertilizers ensure prolonged culture nutrition with both Nitrogen forms. By slowing down the Nitrification rate, the NutrActive® fertilizers ensure prolonged culture nutrition with both Nitrogen forms. Balanced nutrition promotes robust root system growth. The plants utilize greater soil volume and increase their water and nutrient absorption. At the same time, Ammoniacal Nitrogen absorption leads to a pH reduction on the rhizosphere surface, thereby releasing nutrients that preexisted in the soil, but were strongly bound and not available to the plants. Via this mechanism, the culture can now utilize, besides the fertilizer, the immobilized components of the soil as well as the unutilized nutrients of previous fertilizations and, as such, it can maximize the fertilization effectiveness.

Nitrate nutrition is accompanied by rhizosphere alkalization and obstructs Phosphorus and Trace elements absorption that form dissoluble compounds in the soil. However, due to the fast transformation to Nitrate, the alkalization recurs and the culture is unable to absorb sufficient quantities.
